Galvanised Iron Tubes

Galvanised steel pipes, manufactured by Apl Apollo Tubes Ltd,are covered by a layer of zinc .Galvanized steel pipes and tubes are mostly used in structural applications. Galvanized steel pipes and tubes are available in various size and shapes based on the customer's requirements.

Pipes and tubing made of galvanized steel has long been one of the most used building materials in the world. For decades, designers, builders and consumers seeking long-term structural performance in the harshest of outdoor applications have turned to zinc-coated steel pipes. Zinc-coated galvanized steel pipes and tube resist the attack of wind, water and road salts.

Galvanized Steel are those steel that has been covered with a layer of zinc metal. During galvanizing, steel is immersed in a molten zinc bath, ensuring a tough, uniform barrier coating. Zinc's natural corrosion resistance provides long-term protection, even in outdoor environments. Apart from preventing water corrosion, it is equally effective in dry, indoor environments.

These pipes are cheap, light in weight and easy to handle & transport & easy to join. Their sizes vary from outer dimension 19*19mm to 220*220mm and wall thickness 2.0 to 10mm.

Pre Galvanised Tubes

This category of APL Apollo steel tubes is generally made out of MS Galvanized Sheets. There are many preventive coatings (natural & synthetic) which are applied either before or after the production of tubes.

In the recent technological innovations and analysis by the experts, it has been proved that the APL Apollo tubes made by pre galvanized sheets are giving very good durability, stability, adherence as well as a longer sustainability without atmospheric corrosion. These technological phenomenon are adopted by the steel manufacturers for enhancing their market potential as well as the profitability as they have very optimum cost control parameters.

The coating is uniform and the thickness of the coating can be maintained as agreed between, which depends on the atmospheric and corrosive environment prevailing at individual sites. The overall look & finish is very aesthetically controlled. Having a homogeneous coating all through, these tubes can easily withstand any mechanical deformation without affecting their catalytic coating and the bonding of zinc coating with the parent material remains unchanged.

API Tubes

The purpose of this specification is to provide standards for pipe suitable for use in conveying gas, water, and oil in both the oil and natural gas industries. This specification covers welded steel line pipe. It includes plain-end, threaded-end, and belled-end pipe, as well as through-the-flow line (TFL) pipe and pipe with ends prepared for use with special couplings. Although the plain-end line pipe meeting the specification is primarily intended for field makeup by circumferential welding, the manufacturer will not assume responsibility for field welding.

This International Standards specifies requirement for the manufacturing of two product specification levels (PSL 1 and PSL 2) of seamless and welded steel pipes for use in pipeline transportation systems in the petroleum and natural gas industries. This International Standard is not applicable to cast pipe.

5CT
This International Standard specifies the technical delivery conditions for steel pipes (casing, tubing, plain-end casing liners and pup joints), coupling stock and accessories and establish requirement for two Product Specification Levels (PSL 1 & PSL 2). These steel pipes are use as casing or tubing for well in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

Dynamically Balanced Tubes

First ever, Rotary Sizing Mill (RSM) supplied by KUSAKABE ELECTRIC & MACHINERY COMPANY LIMITED, JAPAN has been commissioned at APL Apollo Tubes Limited at their plant at Hosur, Tamilnadu. This equipment, first of its kind in India, is capable of achieving accuracy & precision as high as required for dynamically balanced tubes & surface finish as good as achieved by cold drawn process for most demanding customers.

Follwing the use of RSM technology, we are focusing on supplying tubes for diverse applications in the engineering sector, idler tubes for conveyors, propeller shaft tubes, bobbin tubes for textile industry, high end applications where high precision diameter is required and other high rotational applications.
